1. Prep your lips: Start by ensuring that your lips are clean and moisturized. You can gently exfoliate your lips with a lip scrub or a soft toothbrush to remove any dead skin and create a smooth canvas.
2. Choose your product or technique: Decide whether you want to use a lip product, such as a lip liner, lipstick, or lip gloss, to create the desired shape and volume, or if you prefer a more permanent solution like dermal fillers or lip implants.
3. Apply lip liner: If you're using a lip liner, choose a shade that matches your natural lip color or the lipstick shade you'll be using. Start by outlining the natural shape of your lips, then you can slightly overline your lips if you want to create the appearance of fuller lips. Fill in your lips with the lip liner for a base.
4. Apply lipstick or lip gloss: Choose a lipstick or lip gloss color that complements your skin tone and desired look. Apply the product evenly, starting from the center of your lips and working your way outwards. You can use a lip brush or apply directly from the tube.
5. Blend and refine: Use a lip brush or your finger to blend the lip product into your lips, ensuring a seamless and natural look. If using lip gloss, apply a thin layer to give your lips a glossy finish.
6. Maintain and touch up: Throughout the day, you may need to touch up your lip product to maintain the desired shape and color. Carry your chosen lip product with you for quick touch-ups as needed.
